LH Technology Ed Foundation

Founded in 2019, the Technology Education Foundation was created to raise funds to help support and supply the Laurel Highlands High School Technology Education classes with consumable material and equipment not capable of being purchased by the district due to lack of available funds from the state department of education.

The Non-Profit organization has held several types of fundraisers including ticket sales, candle sales, peperoni roll sales, and has received some donations from local business's and individuals.

The Foundation has purchased many items including:

  • Material to build two outdoor classroom workshops (sheds).

  • Several Toner cartridges for printing

  • Cables for wiring electrical components

  • 70 inch TV to replace an old projector

  • CNC Laser engraver/3D printer

  • Donation to Teacher Scholarship

  • Paid for cost of bussing on Field Trips

All equipment and material, once purchased, becomes the property of Laurel Highlands School District but the items must be kept and/or used in the Technology Education class rooms.

Thank You to everyone who helped with and participated in the fundraisers for last year.

Because of your efforts and generosity we are able to purchase more material and equipment for the Technology Education classrooms to further enhance student learning.

In addition, the foundation was able to award three ($500.00) scholarships for year 2022 to outstanding students from one of the three Academies in the Technology Education curriculum.
